This is a machine translation of the original press release issued in Spanish.
The investment was estimated at 70 million dollars during the first three years and, later, 20 million dollars during the rest of the contract, destined to maintenance. The beltway will include a new 400-meter bridge over the San José river. Furthermore, the entire route is expected to be illuminated and signposted in accordance with the highest standards.
The initial works will be a direct source of work for approximately 180 people and indirect for another 500. Due to its location, the works will have a strong impact on work in the towns of Villa María, Cañada Grande, San José de Mayo, Soler and Ecilda Paulier, and, indirectly, in other communities in the department.
This project is contributed by the winning private companies and is supported by CAF-Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina, Cafam and Banco República (BROU). "It is the beginning of a magnificent and necessary work, it is a priority," said the minister at the ceremony, which took place at kilometer 70 of Route 3.
The realization of this project will allow decentralization, change the reality of road traffic in the area, improve fluidity and provide comfort to the inhabitants of the region, Heber said.
