The road solution will provide this important structuring road with a high level of service as a concessioned urban road with a free-flow charging system, through the consolidation of express lanes with 3 lanes in each direction and the provision of road safety devices, variable signaling, communication system and user services. In addition, the initiative considers a complete proposal for urban remodeling on the surface and the consolidation of a public transportation corridor in the sector, which will extend the level of high standard service to the entire Anillo Américo Vespucio, improving the problems of traffic congestion at peak hours, which causes great social costs and environmental pollution in terms of gas and noise emissions. It is estimated that around 30,000 jobs will be created during the construction phase of AVO II, with a monthly peak of 1,130 workers.
