The wind farms are: Ventos de Santo Antônio 04 (15 wind turbines/67.5MW) Ventos de Santo Antônio 05 (15 wind turbines/67.5MW) Ventos de Santo Antônio 06 (15 wind turbines/67.5MW) Ventos de Santo Antônio 07 (16 wind turbines/72MW) Ventos de Santo Antônio 08 (14 wind turbines/63MW) Ventos de Santa Luzia 14 (16 wind turbines/72MW) Ventos de Santa Luzia 15 (16 wind turbines/72MW) Ventos de Santa Luzia 16 (16 wind turbines/72MW) The location was chosen due to aspects such as high capacity load factors (more than 50%) and the short distance (23km) to connect to the national electricity grid. There is also the possibility of expanding the project's capacity by adding an additional 100MW of solar power. A medium voltage network will carry the energy produced by the wind turbines to the Babilônia Centro collecting substation. From there, the connection to the National Interconnected System will be made through a transmission line to the Ourolândia II substation, already operational. The project is expected to generate enough energy to power the equivalent of around 1.37 million homes. During its implementation phase, 1,500 direct and 3,000 indirect jobs will be created.
