Project Details

The biomass-fired cogeneration plant project seeks to supply low-pressure steam and electric power to paper manufacturer CPP's industrial plant. Biomass will include sawdust, bark, shavings, wood chips, waste wood, agro-industrial waste materials separated at origin, and sludge generated by CPP's secondary wastewater treatment plant. The project will require 90 workers during the construction phase and will then generate 12 jobs during the ensuing operational phase. The biomass power cogeneration project in region VI town San Francisco de Mostazal will be developed by Chilean company Energía Pacífico S.A., a subsidiary of paper manufacturer Compañía Papelera del Pacífico S.A.
