The plant will have two horizontal Kaplan generating units of 25MW each, and an upstream generator. The project includes a reservoir formed by a dam, controlled by a spillway with three-span gates. Water is captured through a control structure that directs it to a feed canal, followed by a forebay and two water intakes that feed two penstocks to the sheltered powerhouse. During its construction, it is estimated that approximately 600 jobs will be created.
