Description

Centrais Eletricas de Sergipe S.A. (Celse) is a Brazilian company engaged in power generation from natural gas-fired thermal plants. Celse is currently developing the Porto Sergipe I power plant, which will begin commercial operations in 2020 and will use LNG to achieve an installed capacity of 1,551MW. Celse is a joint venture between Eletricidade do Brasil S.A. (Ebrasil) and Golar Power Ltd., in turn a 50:50 JV between Norway's Golar LNG and US-based investment fund Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Celse was founded in 2015 and is based in Barra dos Coqueiros, Sergipe state.
