Barbados launches call for Caribbean digital music project

The government of Barbados has launched a tender for a music digitalization project.

"The objective of the consultancy is to assess the feasibility of and make recommendations for the implementation of an appropriate digital platform, that can enhance the sales, marketing and distribution of Caribbean music and the training of stakeholders," a tender notice published on the UN's Development Business website said.

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has awarded a loan to the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, which is using part of the proceeds to support the country's so-called Digitalization of Caribbean Music and Capacity Building Initiative Project.
