Description:
Sociedad Concesionaria Metro de Lima Línea 2 S.A holds the concession for the project related to the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the 27km Line 2 of Lima and Callao's Metro system. The contract also includes the Faucett Avenue-Gambetta Avenue 8km section, part of Line 4, as well as the supply of the rolling stock and electromechanical equipment. The special purpose entity will build 27 Metro stations on Line 2 and eight on Line 4, approximately 34km of underground tunnels and it will operate the project for 35 years. This Metro section will have the capacity to transport 1.2mn passengers per day. The first stage of the project began in 2015 and will benefit 13 of Lima's districts. Sociedad Concesionaria Metro de Lima Línea 2 is a consortium made up of Spanish firms Cosapi, Iridium, FCC, Salini Impregilo, Ansaldo STS and Ansaldo Breda. The company entered an EPC contract with a consortium made up of its same shareholders for the execution of the construction project. Its headquarters are located in Lima.
