With an estimated investment of USD 9 million, the company Sollar Machine expressed its interest in installing in Paraguay an autonomous Data Center powered entirely by solar energy, designed for artificial intelligence solutions and mainly oriented towards export, starting with the Brazilian market.

The company plans to import photovoltaic components and batteries for assembly in the country, resulting in a high-value-added final technological product. The investors have already received their investor certificates and are currently being advised by technicians from Rediex and the Unified System for Opening and Closing Businesses (SUACE) to move forward with the installation and formalization processes.

“Paraguay is a strategic country”

Renato Rabello, Director of Civil Infrastructure at Sollar Machine, emphasized that the decision to expand into Paraguay stems from the favorable environment the country offers for technology investments based on clean energy. He underscored that Paraguay combines a strategic location, stability, and economic conditions that facilitate the development of high-impact projects.

“We are coming to Paraguay with the intention of importing photovoltaic panels and batteries for the construction of data centers, intended to house artificial intelligence solutions. This project is geared towards exporting technology and services, starting with Brazil,” Rabello stated.

For his part, Fabio Oliveira, Director of Technical Execution, emphasized that the Data Center will be completely autonomous, designed to operate with solar energy without depending on the national electricity grid.

“We will import the necessary components to assemble a data center in Paraguay powered exclusively by solar energy. It will be a finished product, manufactured in the country and 100% geared towards export. It will not require connection to the local electrical grid, as it will operate independently while processing data for international clients,” he explained.
