Court orders reduction in tolls on Rio-São Paulo highway

A Brazilian court ordered a reduction in tolls on Presidente Dutra highway, which runs between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and is operated by concessionaire Nova Dutra, a unit of infrastructure group CCR.

The order follows a request by prosecutors, who said in a statement the toll rates were hiked using the wrong criteria in 2010 and 2011.

The exact reduction was not specified. A CCR spokesperson, contacted by BNamericas, said the company will appeal the court order.
