Enel given green light to test Brazil wind farms

Brazilian power regulator Aneel has approved testing of two wind farms belonging to Italian developer Enel Green Power in the northeastern state of Bahia.

The Emiliana and Joana plants, located in the city of Igaporã, boast a combined installed capacity of 55.2MW, according to federal gazette Diário Oficial da União.

The Cerro Chato VI wind farm in Rio Grande do Sul state is also free to test turbines totaling 24MW.

Part of the 78MW Livramento complex, Cerro Chato VI is a joint venture between Eletrosul (49%), Fundo Rio Bravo Investimentos (41%) and Elos (10%).
