IDB approves US$80mn loan to Celtins

The Inter-American Development Bank ( IDB) has approved an US$80mn loan package to Brazilian power distribution company Celtins, IDB said in a statement. The financing will help fund Celtins' US$246mn, 2006-10 expansion and service quality program, the statement said. Celtins operates in the northern state of Tocantins and is controlled by Brazilian power group Grupo Rede.
