
Latin America's top 10 renewable energy projects

Latin America has more than 3,000 non-conventional renewable energy (NCRE) plants under construction or in early works, according to the BNamericas project profile database.
Solar boasts the biggest share with 1,847 plants totalling US$150.1bn in investment. Next is wind with 1,173 projects worth US$96.3bn, followed by geothermal (30 projects, US$13bn), biomass (29 projects, US$14.4bn) and wave energy (four projects, US$8.1bn).
Here are the top 10 active projects by investment value:
