October demand rises 2.5%

Argentine power consumption in October grew 2.5% from the same month of 2003 to 6,677GWh, according to statistics from power sector development institute Fundelec. The October 2004 figure represents a 1.84% increase from the previous month. The province with the highest consumption growth in the year-on-year comparison was Neuquén with 15.1%. In Greater Buenos Aires, including the concession areas of distributors Edenor, Edesur and Edelap, consumption increased 1.32%.
