Bnamericas
S&P has assigned a brA-2 short-term rating to Brazilian distributor Light SESA's planned notes issue for 100mn reais (US$47.5mn), the ratings agency announced. The rating reflects the company's improving financial profile and exclusive concession to distribute power in part of Rio de Janeiro state. Limiting factors include the high level of electricity losses, according to S&P. Light SESA serves 31 towns and cities in Rio de Janeiro state and is a subsidiary of power holding company Light.
