Technical studies for Tienditas binational bridge complete
Venezuela's government has completed technical feasibility studies for the Tienditas binational bridge, to be built between the country's Táchira state and Colombia's Norte de Santander department. Work was due to start this month, with Venezuela covering construction costs in return for a reduction of its debt to Colombia for gas purchases. However, the terms of agreement have changed and will be finalized by both heads of government in an upcoming meeting. The bridge, which aims to strengthen integration between the two nations, will have three lanes with enough space for motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians.
