Description: El Peñón Gas Power Plant Power generating plants greater than 3 MW The Project consists of the construction and operation of a Gas Power Plant that seeks to operate as a complement to the intermittency of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Plants (NCRE). Said Power Plant will be located within land owned by a subsidiary of the Holder, adjacent to the “El Peñon Power Plant” of Enlasa Generación Chile SA This Project will not introduce modifications to the existing Power Plant. The Project will consist of 12 Liquefied Petroleum Gas (hereinafter LPG) generator engines. Each unit will have a power of 1.72 MW, so the Power Plant will have a total generation capacity of 21 MW, in addition there will be a step-up transformer for every 2 motors (completing a total of 6 transformers) of 4.5 MVA each. . Each generating unit has its own gas exhaust system, which joins a final evacuation chimney. In total, a total of 3 chimneys of 12 meters each, grouped every 4 units, is considered. In order to store and supply the fuel required for the operation of the engines, the Project considers an LPG storage system consisting of 4 mounded tanks of 114 m3 each, which will be connected to the generating units through a network. surface of approximately 180 meters, in addition, it considers a sector of heat exchangers called vaporizers whose objective is to transform the fuel that will finally be used by the engines from a liquid to a gaseous state. For the storage and distribution of LPG, the implementation of two unloading stations that will be located next to the diesel tanks of the existing Power Plant is contemplated. This area has pavement and enough turning so that trucks can transit and connect to the pumping station towards the LPG tanks. The fuel (LPG) will be acquired according to the generation needs of the Project, and will be provided by companies that have the corresponding authorization to transport this type of fuel. The energy generated by the Power Plant will be evacuated through a Medium Voltage Line (LMT) of approximately 250 meters in length to the existing substation of the El Peñón Power Plant, for subsequent delivery to the National Electric System. Finally, it should be noted that within the infrastructure required by the Project during its operation phase, it is contemplated to use part of the existing works of the El Peñón Power Plant, such as: offices, toilets, control room, warehouses and workshops. It should be noted that the use of these buildings will not generate changes in the operation of the existing plant. The objective of the Project corresponds to the generation of electrical energy through the operation of gas engines, as a complement to the intermittency of the Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Plants. From this objective, the following specific objectives emerge - Build and operate an electricity generation plant that works by means of LPG engines with a maximum capacity of 21 MW. - Build and operate a storage system for LPG. - Build a medium voltage power transmission line that allows the power produced in the motors to be conveyed to the existing substation.
