The project is developed on the existing Tren de Occidente corridor with a length of 39.6 km, of which 24.9 km are in the suburban area and 14.7 km in the urban area. It will also be integrated with the First Metro Line at the Calle 26 and Avenida Caracas station. The project will consist of: Main branch: 41.00 km long, connecting the city of Bogotá (around Calle 26) with the towns of Mosquera, Madrid, el Corzo and Facatativá. El Dorado Airport Branch: 4.10 km long, connecting the main branch (at Catam) with El Dorado International Airport. This project will reduce travel time from two hours and 30 minutes to 55 minutes. The train will be 100% electric and will transport around 130,000 people per day.
