Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio (CBA), born in 1941 and headquartered in São Paulo, is a Brazilian aluminum producer part of the local conglomerate Votorantim. CBA mines and smelts bauxite, and processes aluminum to offer aluminum oxide, ingots, dowels, casters, and sheets; as well as anodized and extruded aluminum profiles, aluminum plates, and rolls. CBA has three mining units in Minas Gerais; industrial facilities in São Paulo, including smelters, factories and recycling plants; and distribution centers in Rio Grande do Sul, and Rio de Janeiro. CBA also owns nickel mines in the Municipality of Niquelândia, State of Goiás, and a refinery in São Paulo; as well as interests in 20 hydropower projects.
