Description:
Vías Chile, formerly known as Abertis Autopistas Chile S.A., is the local unit of Spanish infrastructure firm Abertis, and it operates as holding company for Abertis' highway concession business in Chile. Vías Chile is responsable for the operation of a 771km intercity highway network, comprising six highways: Autopista Central, Rutas del Pacifico, Autopista del Sol, Autopista Los Libertadores, Autopista del Elqui and Autopista Los Andes. These roads are located accross the Coquimbo (IV), Valparaiso (V) and Metropolitan regions. The Santiago-based company controls both the concessionaires as well as the firms in charge of the roads operation and maintenance.
