Sacyr's net profit hits US$111mn after losses in 2012

Spanish group Sacyr's net profit hit 82.5mn euros (US$111mn) in the first nine months of 2013 after reporting a loss of 701mn euros in the same period 2012.

Ebidta was 423mn euros in the first nine months down .2% from the same period in 2012.

International markets made up 55% of Sacyr's sales up from 42% in the first nine months of 2012 and international revenue grew 23% to 1.32bn euros in the first nine months of 2013 compared to the same time 2012, with growth attributed to projects in Chile, Panama, Bolivia and Brazil.

Concessions make up the largest portion of the future income portfolio at 19.1bn euros with the international market accounting for 63% of the concessions.

Sacyr was recently awarded a US$55mn contract to carry out water and sanitation works in Peru's Cerro de Pasco city.

Other projects that make up Sacyr's Latin American portfolio include the US$299mn Ruta del Limarí highway in Chile and the US$250mn Antofagasta hospital concession.
