Description:
RIOgaleão is a Brazilian company holding a 25-year concession, ending in 2039, for the operation, extension and maintenance of Rio de Janeiro's Tom Jobim International Airport. The company is a joint venture established by Infraero (49%), Odebrecht Transport (31%) and Changi Airports International (20%) in 2014. RIOgaleão was granted the contract for the management of the airport from Infraero, the previous concessionaire. The project involves an investment of US$1.6bn. The airport served 17mn passengers in 2015, as well as 6 national and 21 international companies, travelling to 26 international destinations. The company expanded the airport infrastructure, adding check-in and immigration counters, access roads, another parking lots, among others. RIOgaleão is based in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017, Singapore airport operator Changi assumed a controlling stake of 51% in RIOgaleão, after acquiring shares held by Odebrecht TransPort.
