Description

Compañía Minera Cuzcatlán, the Mexican unit of Canadian miner Fortuna Silver Mines Inc., is in charge of operations at the San José underground silver-gold mine in Mexico's Oaxaca state. The mine started commercial operations in September 2011 at a rate of 1,000t per day. In 2013, the company acquired a 55% interest in the Taviche Oeste concessions from a local subsidiary of Canada's Pan American Silver. Compañía Minera Cuzcatlán is involved in the development of the Trinidad North project, a high grade silver-gold discovery adjacent to its San José mine.
