ANDE has already installed 798 km of Medium Voltage lines with protected conductors throughout the country
This Ande release was published using machine translation.
One of the main actions for the modernization of the distribution system is the change from bare to protected conductors, in order to provide a quality electrical power supply. Until the end of September, the National Electricity Administration has already executed the installation of 798 km of Medium Voltage lines with protected conductors, reaching 80% of the goal proposed for this year.
This figure far exceeds the record for 2020, in which 593 km of Medium Voltage lines were replaced, thus improving service quality indexes by 25% compared to last year. This is thanks to the fact that these types of lines minimize short-circuit interruptions, especially due to eventual contact with tree branches; That is why they are used in urban areas, where there are generally a large concentration of trees near the distribution lines.
In that sense, the goal for this 2021 is the installation of 1,000 km of Medium Voltage lines with protected conductors, through an approximate investment of USD 62,000,000, financed through own funds, multilateral entities and funds from the ITAIPU Binational, for the purchase of materials and the execution of their installation.
In this way, ANDE continues to carry out works to increase the quality of the electricity supply in order to provide customers with a service in accordance with current requirements, allowing the abundance of clean and renewable energy generation available to the Paraguay, also arrive with abundance, quality and safety in all corners of the country, in order to increase the quality of life of the entire population.
