Conagua to hire consultant for Texcoco drainage works

Mexico's water commission Conagua is seeking a contractor to coordinate water and drainage works being carried out on the proposed site of the Mexico City airport expansion.

The winning bidder will be required to supervise the first phase of water and drainage works in Texcoco lake, according to documents published on the government procurement portal CompraNet.

The consultant will coordinate work progress using a geographic information system, which will allow standardization of reports and ensure real-time monitoring of the water and drainage works and the project's finances.

Coordination works will start on October 6 and wrap in February 2017. A site visit will be held in September 5, followed by a pre-bid meeting on September 8.

Interested parties have to submit bids by September 15; the tender will be awarded on September 22.

Conagua has tendered a series of works to improve drainage around the Texcoco lake in preparation for expansion of the capital's AICM international airport.
