Company Detail

Description

Quiborax, founded in 1986, is a Chilean mining company with operations in the Salar de Surire in the country's northern Region I. In June 2004, what was then Bolivia's mining and hydrocarbons ministry decided to rescind Quiborax concessions to mine ulexite in Salar de Uyuni in Potosí department in southwest Bolivia, arguing breach of environmental standards and irregularities in the awarding of the concessions.
