Description

Chilean holding company Compañía Explotadora de Minas SCM (Cemin) engages in the exploration and development of mining projects and the acquisition of strategic properties. Founded in 1982, Cemin is made up of small- and medium-sized mining companies focused on extraction and processing of copper and gold. Its operations include the Amalia Catemu Industrial Complex, comprised of copper mines and a leaching and electrowinning plant, in the country's Valparaiso region (V). In the same region, the company also owns mining company Minera Pullalli, which operates an underground gold mine, and a processing plant. Cemin is headquartered in Santiago.
