São Paulo governor aiming to lure green investments

São Paulo governor Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas seeks to woo international players at Davos.

At the event in Switzerland, he met IDB head Ilan Goldfajn, who promised the lender would help structure rail projects and promote green financing, Gomes de Freitas wrote on Twitter.

During several meetings with global investors, Gomes de Freitas is also presenting São Paulo’s green agenda, focused on energy transition, green hydrogen and second-generation ethanol

"With this, the state seeks to further strengthen the energy matrix of São Paulo, which is the cleanest in Brazil and one of the cleanest in the world, with around 60% of renewable sources," according to a press release.
