Peru's airport services company Lima Airport Partners S.R.L. (LAP) was formed in 2000 and is controlled by a consortium led by Germany-based international airport operator Fraport AG, who holds 70.01% in the venture. The consortium, also formed by International Finance Corporation (IFC, 19.99%) and local investment fund Fondo de Inversión en Infraestructura, Servicios Publicos y Recursos Naturales (10%), was awarded a 30-year concession for the management, operation, and expansion of the Jorge Chávez International Airport, located in Callao, Lima. The airport terminal's area covers over 86,000m2, and the platform area another 360,000m2. The airport sees an annual cargo traffic of over 300,000 tons, and more than 17mn passengers use the installations every year.
