Description:
Compañía Minera Quechua is a Peruvian mining company operating in the Espinar province, in the southern region of Cusco. The company, which is still in the exploration stage, is wholly owned by Japanese mining firm Pan Pacific Copper and JX Holding is the ultimate controller. The mine has an estimated lifespan of 17 years and is expected to produce 1.3Mt of copper. The mining concession held by the company covers 5,732ha, with reserves totaling approximately 680Mt. Compañía Minera Quechua was established in 2007 and began operations in 2008. It is headquartered in San Isidro, Lima.
