Description:
Mexican company PetroBal S.A.P.I de C.V., a subsidiary of Mexican conglomerate Grupo Bal, was created to carry out oil and gas exploration and production activities in Mexico. PetroBal is the country's first private oil company in decades. In a consortium with US firm Fieldwood Energy LLC, the company was awarded area No. 4, corresponding to the Pokoch and Ichalkil fields, during Mexico's second auction of shallow water oil and gas fields in 2015. The area contains 68Mb of 2P light crude and 92Bf3 of natural gas.
