OHLA, formerly OHL, is an international group focused on the areas of construction, concessions, industrial engineering, service provision and real estate development. It builds for public and private clients and performs the design, construction, maintenance and operation for projects in the hydrocarbon, energy, solid engineering and fire systems sectors. Its operations are focused on the United States, Europe and Latin America. In the latter, it operates in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Panama and Uruguay. OHL was born in 1999 after the merger of the Spanish firms Obrascón, Huarte and Construcciones Lain. Its predecessor, Sociedad General de Obras y Construcciones Obrascón, SA, was incorporated in 1911. In 2021, it adopted the new name of OHLA. Its headquarters are located in Madrid, Spain.
