Brazil's non-profit electrical and electronics industry association Abinee was formed in 1963 aiming to represent the country's electric and electronic manufacturing sector. Among the services provided to its members are assistance in activities related to foreign trade, macroeconomic and sectorial studies, guidance about environmental legislation, assistance for technical development, among others. Based in São Paulo, Abinee is managed by a board made up of senior executives of member companies. According to company information, the association has a membership base of around 600 drawn from a range of domestic and international small, medium and large companies.
