Gas Natural Fenosa Engineering, S.L. (Naturgy Engineering) -formerly Socoin-, created in 1989, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Spain's Naturgy Energy Group. In 2009, after the merger of Gas Natural and Union Fenosa, the two companies' engineering activities were allocated under one business unit. The company has developed more than 1000 projects across 48 countries. It operates in the gas segment, developing LNG plants (liquefaction and regasification), in countries such as Peru and Puerto Rico, in addition to pipeline projects in Mexico, Brazil and Peru. It also operates in the power industry, building substations and transmission lines, in Panama, Costa Rica and Colombia. The company has also provided consulting services and feasibility studies for solar and biomass power generation projects in the Dominican Republic and Brazil. Naturgy Engineering is based in Madrid.
