Avanco Resources is a Brazilian-focused exploration and development company, incorporated and headquartered in Australia. The company's shareholders are Appian Natural Resources Fund (19.20%), Greenstone Resources Fund (6.69%), BlackRock World Mining (12.86%) and Glencore Plc (8.27%). During 2015, the company concentrated their operations on the development and construction of the high grade Antas Copper Mine, located in Pará State in northern Brazil, and exploration at copper mine Pedra Branca project, 50km southwest of Antas. Avanco Resources owns four Brazilian subsidiaries in charge of exploring the area: AVB Mineração (Rio Verde, Serra Verde, Pedra Branca and Trindade South projects), Avanco Resources Mineração (Agua Boa project), Vale Dourado Mineração (Estrela East, Agua Boa and Pedra Branca, as well as, Carajás North) and Estela do Brazil Mineração (Pedra Branca). The Perth-based company operates in Brazil since 2007.
