Description

Termoelectrica de Mexicali (TDM), a subsidiary of Infraestructura Energética Nova (IEnova) is an electric power generation company that is also engaged in the sale of electricity. TDM's main asset is a combined-cycle electricity generation plant, fueled by natural gas and with an installed capacity of 625MW. The plant receives natural gas through an interconnection with the Rosarito pipeline. In January 2013, TDM and Sempra Generation (SGEN) signed an agreement under which TDM supplies electric power directly to the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) grid in the US on the Mexico border, while SGEN, in return, provides TDM with marketing, programming and supply services. Termoelectrica de Mexicali started operating in 2003 and is based in Mexicali, Mexico.
